    so, the gist is:
“The most heartening thing is much greater awareness of what the reality of Florida’s situation with insurance is,” she said. “People have been told the problem was hurricanes and they need to pay more. But never were they told how much was enough.”

St. John’s series, “Florida’s Insurance Nightmare,” reported that the property insurance system is on shaky financial ground that might not withstand a major storm.”

Um, I could have written this from another state without the night sweats…Florida’s property insurance market will always be in trouble unless someone in Florida chooses to address what a big risk it is to insured in the state…I’m sorry this poor dear lady lost so much sleep to come up with such a conclusion, I would like to see the story she wrote to see what she declares to be the cure…I’m sure it involves govt subsidies to buy insurance…

Of all the reporters that cover the insurance industry in this state, Paige St. John is somewhat on top of things. However, she has yet to articulate the problems with Citizens as succinctly as Arturo Hoyo has done. See Separation of the Myths & Facts in today’s IJ.

But I doubt that her reporting is Pulitzer worthy, especially in light of some of the many previous winners of this award.

The question is.. Have any of you negative posters even looked up and read the report before passing judgement?
