Gee, a republican-led movement to shift costs from business to the public, that’s unusual…

I am sorry, but what in the blazes was a 6′ 7″ 290 pound man doing up on a tree branch 30 feet of the ground? That just sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Seems to me this tree trimming company should evaluate their hiring standards. That must have been one heck of a tree branch to hold a man as big as a line backer.

But back to the point of the article, there is a lot of fraud in WC claims and there have been many exposed on Date Line and programs liken them. And there are many who just are honest folks too who get hurt on the job. However, there is always going to be someone out there trying to “work” the system. No matter what the system is. Look at Welfare. Need I say more?

The proposal does nothing to stop the public subsidy of the large self insured employers. Doctors, hospitals, health insurers, medicaid and employees are owed millions from these funds.

Most of these funds loose repeatedly at the industrial commissions hearings. Yet, on appeal at the Court of Appeals, the cases are over-turned in favor of the large self insured funds.

If you work for a self insured employer, you had better buy a good disability policy!
