Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal announced that Georgia’s largest writer of homeowners policies will bring 500 jobs to a new operations center in metro Atlanta.
Deal made the announcement last Friday that the jobs for State Farm will be located at the recently leased Atlanta Perimeter Operations Center located near Perimeter Mall.
Some existing State Farm employees will work at the new office, but it will be staffed predominantly by new hires. The company will look for the new hires to handle sales, service and claims for policyholders.
The office is expected to open later this year.
