Unfortunately, what Lurch wants affects the rest of the country.

When any elected or appointed official considers retention of their position over application of their conscience, it’s past time for them to go. Judges are isolated enough without making them untouchable.

These ‘Justices’ are fooling themselves if they say the current movement afoot threatens the system. No it doesn’t. But it will affect those who consistently fail to strictly construe our state Constitution in their judicial opinions and try to legislate from the bench. We missed last time around but the word has gotten out this year to vote against retention. Let them return to private practice at plaintiff law firms.

Whether or not these Justices deserve to be retained is a matter for the voters of the State of Florida to determine. I do not want anyone in power that I cannot dethrone with my vote. I am against, especially on the State level in protecting them.
