The CEO of Citizens has to be a tough job to hold. Most CEOs are responsible to an Executive Board, owners/shareholder and employees. This guy has to deal with politicians, most of whom don’t understand business let alone insurance, press and the entire population of Florida too. And he doesn’t get paid what other insurance execs of equal size companies get paid because of all these people he is responsible to. Is it a government job or an insurance job?

It’s about time they accepted responsibility for their actions. I’d like to know what Carlos is referring to that was reported that wasn’t accurate? He has yet to provide proof of any of the information released is not true. As for leeway, come on, Citizens has been given a lot of leeway and look what they did with it. Maybe if they had been up front and honest about the goings they could’ve beat the media to the punch. He should know by now you can’t hide public information ! !
    Time to own up Citizens.

It’s pretty simple actually. Simply call up the employees fired and ask them why they feel they were fired and to speak up!

Just take the golden parachute and head for the beach! I hear you can get a house on waterfront with good insurance cheap!

This is not a good start. He will have to learn fast that his actions will be scrutinized, and justifiably so, by the public and the media.
