Blah…Blah…Blah…Bull Crap…Blah…Blah…FL has hit the point of no return on insurance rates. For the foreseeable future there will be no reprieve on homeowner rates.

I remember talking to someone on the phone soon after Katrina hit, he lived in Utah…his Insurance went up and he was Told it was because All the Country had to Share in the Insurance costs and although we on the East Coast of Florida have NOT been HIT by anything major in a Very long time, I was told, that even though WE may not have Damage Directly, there are Shared “costs” involved…due to Not only Florida, but the Country. To me, this IS Extortion, I mean really, they Know we Have to Have Coverage, so they STICK together in spouting the BS and our rates Have been and probably will continue to be Much higher than Most other states…for the “maybe” we’ll have another major “hit”…But…what about the FACTS that there are MANY Other states who have suffered Major 100 year floods, tornados, and Many Devastating weather “events”, I’ll bet you THOSE states Are STILL Not as High as WE ARE for OUR Homeowners Coverage. I also feel Really bad for people with credit problems, because They..aka..the Insurance Co’s Charge THEM even More…I’ll soon be looking at renewal time myself, and I WILL SHOP until I drop IF they go up again, they went up Last year, and in over 30 years we’ve Never had a single claim, and our home has a wind mitigation and is CBS….But…it is also now over 10 years old, Guess what “other” EXCUSE they Start using once a home goes over a certain “age?”..yes…That matters too…Anything and EVERYTHING they can TRY and Use Against your “rate”..going to be Real interesting….NO Storms so far…and God Willing no more…for US or Anyone else…
