Careful, Surplus Lines carriers aren’t covered by the routine Guaranty Associations if they go belly up and can’t pay claims.

The reason FEMA took over flood insurance is because the Large Experienced Insurance companies new back in 1970’s that they could afford to handle flood claims, and these little new starters think they can? They are charging about the same price with? I would rather stick to FEMA, at least the US GOVT. will back them and keep them from folding.

sticking with FEMA or the US government is crazy. Each member of the government, their vast number of staff, their families, and supports and friends have only one goal in mind…….they are out to add to their own personal wealth and take by force the possessions of citizens.
Every rule and law passed by local, state, county, or federal government has as its purpose more accumulation of power over law abiding citizens. any government will NEVER NEVER NEVER give any any small amount of power.

Interestingly, I called the Flood Insurance Agency in Florida today and they knew nothing about this Lloyd’s product. Does anyone know if there is more than one Flood Insurance Agency that is seeking to market this product nationally? Also, is this product E&S or offered in the standard market?
