What makes anyone think that firearms are not already being taken into Gun Free Zones (kill zones) by those who are not law abiding citizens?

With the absence of metal detectors, pat downs, bag checks and an armed security person, what entity is protecting the unarmed in a gun free zone? Those who say call to 911 (after a robbery or a shooting) is not an acceptable answer!

Energy spent in regard to guns should be directed towards tough sentencing (no plea bargaining), closer parole supervision, and taking a second look at allowing courts to place people with metal health issues under a doctors care and/or in a treatment center (to be reevaluated after 30 days).

you don’t have to worry about firearms legally owned, especially by those who have passed a conceal carry permit background.
worry about the people who have and obtained the firearm illegally. and are they going to abide by additional laws since they are already breaking existing ones?

Legally owned guns (Sandy Hook) used by a family member of the owner. It’s a never ending game of death and tragedy.
More guns = more deaths not less.

Look at the CO school shooting last week. Off duty cop with a GUN stopped the kid in less than 80 seconds. The police got there 10 min later. The best thing to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. PERIOD

Top it off with the fact the shooter was a socialist Obama loving freak.

Reminds me of that scene in “A Christmas Story” when Ralphie saves the neighborhood from Black Bart. That’s every gun toter’s wet dream, you can still be a hero and still have a small wank.

Isn’t your gun just an extension of your wank? And you compensate with an real big gun if you have a real small wank? How big is your gun, jack?

If by fag you mean sissy, I’m not the one the needs to walk around packing heat. If you’re packing heat you’re packing meat. Go to a gym and work out, over time you will gain some weight and put on some muscle. You might even feel better about yourself if you stop reading Infowars, it’ll rot your brain. I guarantee if you came face to face with a armed person on the offensive, you would still stand the same survival chances if you were armed yourself. Trained cops have at best a 10% hit rate.

Tx- I’m in the gym working out 4 days a week. It’s 200 yards from my office here in a nice white gated community. I don’t work out so I can kick someone’s head in just like I don’t carry an XDM 9mm with 20 rounds in it so I can shoot someone.

“trained cops” – ask your local cop how often he shoots, and how many times he’s been shot at. That would explain your 10% hit rate. Donuts also play a role in the figure but I eat those as well. The difference being, I walk across the parking lot 4 times a week to work them off.

I was a parks and recreation director for over 35 years in a number of places and I can tell you for a fact that guns do not belong in any park, period ! I respect the right of anyone to own a gun but there are proper places to carry them and no one needs a gun in a park. This is nothing but big ego’s getting in the way of common sense. Mr. Valone you are wrong !

Old B- “no one needs a gun in a park” ? really….really? Like no one needs a gun at a school, or a military base, or a movie theater because we all know criminals do whats proper…right. We don’t carry a gun on our hip because we need it, we carry it IN CASE we need it.

What a surprise that a parks and rec director wants to dictate what goes on in parks and rec sites. I love how people like you opine about respecting the right to own a gun then deign to lecture everyone about the “proper” place to carry a gun. I trust you think you are real bright for saying “no one needs a gun in a park.” I trust all the criminals in the public parks through the country really respect your philosophical position.

I respect your right to worship a God but I’m going to work to ban churches. Gun rights are the same way. Your pathetic comments about respecting my rights is worthless without being able to actually carry the gun anywhere except where you think is appropriate (which is likely in my own home or a gun range–after all, why would anyone need to defend themselves anywhere).

Wayne- what the old man fails to admit or is blind to is the fact that guns are carried around by bad people every day and they carry where they please.

So the next time you see that teenager with his pants hanging around his knees, he probably already has a gun on him. So you have to ask yourself this question- Do I want the dad in khaki pants with his 3 kids there in the park to have one as well?

The answer is no. One baggy pants thug is enough, thank you. The last thing I want is a shoot-out in front of my kids. Or God forbid, you shoot one of the kids in your haste to “Get the bad guy.” We don’t need shoot-em-up cowboys roaming the streets “protecting us.” Stay in your white, gated community in your khaki pants and you won’t need a gun. Isn’t that why you live there in the first place?

Libby- See there libby, that’s where we differ. I would prefer a CWP holder take a chance at killing the shooter than to allow him to walk around freely killing people as they hide behind trees and slides like sheep. And I bet if you ask the parents of those 20 or so kids killed in the school last year, 75% would want a regular joe with a CWP to have taken the same chance.

You see Libby, just because you are scared of guns doesn’t mean other people have to die around you.
