Kids just don’t have the same filters regarding privacy that their parents do. They’ll learn but lessons like this are expensive for their parents

Why would even need to tell your child the amount?

My wife & I (and I guess we’re in the minority) know that our kids blad EVERYTHING. For most of their lives they didn’t actually know my wife’s true age. (not kidding)

Oh yeah, a white, middle-aged, straight man suing for discrimination – must be suit happy. And he wins…who knew. What’s this world coming to?

        Ok InsGuy:

IT IS A FORM OF DISCRIMINATION TO STATE THAT A WHITE STRAIGHT MAN CAN’T BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST.

Why else would you specify straight (as in discriminating for not being gay) white (as if it matters vs being black, hispanic) etc?

What is this world coming to is a damn good question. Duck Dynasty fits the bill (pun intended) for how someone can be fired for being straight, even if they answer a question they are specifically told to answer about their opinions of being straight. He wasn’t discriminated against though right?

It just doesn’t happen. Yeah right. Grow up kid. You’re on the wrong side of the rights movement.

InsGuy, I don’t understand your comment. Were you going for sarcasm? Sorry, I’m just trying to follow the conversation.

KY jw: Actually, that was a tongue-in-cheek remark made with a smile on my face. Bob’s a bit of a hot-head at times, but we do enjoy his commentary.

Actually, Im a bit of a hot-head too, but I do luv the pokes every now & then. :)

Duck Dynasty guy wasn’t discriminated against for being white or straight. He wasn’t discriminated against at all. He was shunned / boycotted for his opinions that many don’t agree with. There is a difference.

If the terms of the settlement agreement included a stipulation that the man and his wife not disclose details of the settlement with anyone, (technically) wouldn’t that include their (gregarious) daughter?
I would say that the onus of this farce is on Mom & Dad, as they didn’t (really) uphold their end of the agreement.
    Discretion…, party of two…!

For some reason when I read the story and how this all happened I just thought it figures. The kid got lippy and cost her dad $80,000! She just had to talk smack and it backfired. Maybe a lesson learned.
