Agree. I’ll bet the majority of the country knows nothing about Duke University or has never heard of it.
Maybe the family should counter sue charging “Duke University” with impersonating a major well know university.

And I would bet much of the younger generation has no idea who “The Duke” is. He died in 1979 – before many of them were born.
I don’t think my kids know John Wayne was referred to as The Duke, and my husband is a huge John Wayne fan.
You should ask them. I’d be interested in the answer.
