Republic Western Insurance Company, a Phoenix, Ariz.-based property and casualty company, has retained Richard M. Amoroso as company president to oversee operations, establish policies and guide the investment process.
Before joining Republic Western, Amoroso was assistant general counsel for ON Semiconductor. Prior to that, he spent seven years as assistant general counsel/litigation counsel for U-Haul International Inc.
Licensed in 49 states with regional claims offices located in Arizona, California, Georgia, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Texas and Canada, Republic Western in a wholly owned subsidiary of Nevada-based AMERCO. The company originates and reinsures p/c products for various market participants, including independent third parties, U-Haul and U-Haul customers.
