Woodland Hills, Calif.-based Swett & Crawford and Phoenix, Ariz.-based Corpedia formed an alliance to offer web-based training in how to comply with employment practices liability laws and regulations. The training will be available to businesses insured under the EPL-Exclusive Advantage Program marketed exclusively through Swett & Crawford, as well as Sherwood Insurance Services.
Corpedia will provide three courses designed to ensure that managers of companies understand both the letter and the spirit of laws regarding sexual harassment, wrongful termination and illegal employment discrimination. Swett & Crawford will offer nine free courses, training for three supervisors, to each policyholder. Additional courses will be available from Corpedia at substantially reduced rates.
The training is designed to expand the preventive measures offered as part of EPLXA, which already includes 30 minutes per month free consulting time with an EPL attorney. Swett & Crawford’s EPLXA Program, including Custom EPLXA that is offered to smaller employers, currently has an enrollment of 2,300 corporate clients with more than 150,000 employees.
