Downey, Calif.-based Bowermaster & Associates Insurance Agency Inc. established California Insurance Agents’ Alliance as a Strategic Master Agency of Strategic Independent Agents Alliance.
Bowermaster, which was founded in 1952, specializes in commercial and personal insurance, financial services, employee benefits and human resources services, and computer consulting.
“In this era of acquisition, I can respect principals who are not ready to sell their agency, yet still feel an uncertain future without gaining the strength that comes with substantial premium volume,” said President Mike Bowermaster. “By aligning with the SIAA strategy, CIAA is creating opportunities that assure the industry continued distribution via the independent agent system by allowing agents to remain independent.”
SIAA is a national insurance agency distribution network with headquarters in Swanzey, N.H. SIAA currently encompasses 137.5 Strategic Master Agency territories throughout 44 states and writes $1.35 billion in premium volume.
