Seattle-based SAFECO has made doing business easier for its independent agents with the unveiling of a newly redesigned agent Web site called safecoplaza.com. The site delivers faster access to everything from claims status to customer profiles to online training programs.
“At SAFECO, our total focus is on providing tools that help agents increase growth and drive down costs,” commented Bruce Allenbaugh, senior vice president of corporate marketing.
Safecoplaza.com allows agents to track and change customer data, download forms, review personal financial information, such as commissions, and take part in training.
Agents and financial advisors helped design the new site to support how they actually do business with the company and their customers. Site visitors can customize the content to focus on only the services relevant to them. Agents can turn off or hide features they don’t need and “Quick Links” makes it easy to link to frequently used content.
The redesigned safecoplaza.com is one of several technology solutions SAFECO is implementing to support agents and increase overall business process efficiency. Personal lines underwriting is being automated with the New Business Entry Model software and the Automated Underwriting Platform will do the same for new commercial insurance.
