Networked Insurance Agents (NIA), a wholesale insurance network, based in Grass Valley, Calif., has acquired Lawson & Blevins Insurance Agency, a Woodland, Calif.-based retail insurance agency.
The acquisition of Lawson & Blevins increases NIA’s presence in the retail insurance marketplace and complements NIA’s insurance network, which offers market access to over 480 affiliate agencies and over 200 program agencies, located in California and surrounding states.
“Networked Insurance Agents wants to position itself to be a helpful alliance to its affiliate agents,” responded NIA’s CEO, Mike Lewis. “Lawson & Blevins is a classic example of how NIA is able to assist agencies in perpetuation while maintaining a presence in the local community. Paul Blevins will continue as president of the agency and will be able to provide a wider menu of services to his existing and potential customers.”
The acquired firm, which will continue to operate as Lawson & Blevins Insurance Agency, will have access to products from NIA’s 50-plus insurance carriers, the support of NIA’s underwriting expertise as well as a dedicated customer service department.
“The combination of Lawson & Blevins and NIA will give our customers a wider breadth of property and casualty insurance offerings and enhance customer support,” stated Blevins. “We are excited about the opportunity to expand our operations and grow our customer base in Woodland and surrounding communities.”
