The California Department of Insurance (CDI) has released an improved Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) for its Producer Licensing Bureau, in response to concerns expressed by agents, brokers, and members of the public.
The CDI initiated a project last year to redesign the IVR, with the objective being the improved delivery of licensing services to agents, brokers, and companies by making the IVR system easier to use, providing a greater amount of information, and reducing the amount of staff intervention with agents to provide services and information.
