Seattle-based SAFECO has been cited as being one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens—a designation that is good for the community and good for business according to a study by a top university.
In this month’s Business Ethics magazine, SAFECO is lauded for its focus on Strengthening America’s Neighborhoods and the development of programs that bring people together. Programs cited by the magazine include SAFECO’s urban centers in Seattle and Atlanta, a $1 million effort to donate scoreboards to youth baseball fields and a community-wide campaign to prevent wildfires.
