As state departments of motor vehicles across the country start requiring insurance companies to provide automatic verification of insurance coverage at the time of vehicle registration, along with immediate notification when policies lapse, two California-based companies—Qualcorp Inc. and ACOM Solutions—have formed a strategic relationship to offer an end-to-end solution that mixes state-of-the-art database maintenance and reporting technology with electronic data interchange (EDI).
Qualcorp President Allen Beggs remarked that the solution employs ACOM’s EZConnect AIR (Auto Insurance Reporting) to establish a simple, direct connection between the database tables of QualCorp’s FormsPlus and ProjectPlus data entry and data management screens and the state motor vehicle departments.
According to Beggs, EZConnect AIR can be installed and offer two-way communications with the DMV in just days, adding that the ecommerce solution fully automates exchange of data between automobile insurance companies and the DMVs. Beggs added that it is a virtually intuitive turnkey solution that installs quickly and completely meets DMV reporting requirements.
