Integrus Specialty Insurance Group Inc., a California wholesaler with a new EPLI product, has implemented an SAIS Automated Underwriter Interface to connect its Irvine office with the London office of its Lloyds underwriter, Beazley Insurance Syndicate 623.
“As part of this project, we used the ACORD XML 1.0 standard, with Service Provider Extensions (SPX), for the actual data transfers,” Jerry Kroger, head of development at Superior Access Internet Software, said. “Using the ACORD XML standards really makes our job easier,” he added.
Integrus is a program underwriting manager, putting together various insurance programs for retail agents and brokers.
“This new Automated Underwriter Interface is shaving days off our processing time,” Winston Howell, chairman of Integrus, said.
This is SAIS’ fourth ACORD XML implementation, having previously done projects with Hartford Insurance, Zenith Insurance and SAIS’ sister company, Superior Access Insurance Services.
