Oregon-based Durham and Bates Agencies Inc. are sponsoring a series of seminars focusing on the current state of the insurance marketplace. The seminar, “Risk Management and Insurance in Today’s Environment,” will explain the state of the industry prior to 9/11, and its response to the $60 billion loss, resulting in its most costly disaster ever.
The sessions offer specific risk management recommendations and counsel to business owners and principals.
“When faced with double-digit increases and restricted coverage, business owners need risk management knowledge and relationships,” Dick Seekins, president and CEO of Durham and Bates, commented. “They need to know about alternative risk transfer scenarios. They need to understand which risks may be reduced or eliminated. And now more than ever, they need to know their story will be told to the right people in the right way.”
The seminar series will be presented each Thursday in June from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Durham and Bates. Lunch is provided, and pre-registration required. For more information, call (503) 796-0291.
