Democratic nominee for California Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi recently added current California Insurance Commissioner Harry Low’s endorsement, along with the California Small Business Association (CSBA).
“For the last two years, I have been working hard to restore integrity and respect to the Department of Insurance, but there is much work that remains,” said Low. “John Garamendi is the right man to carry on that job.”
Betty Jo Toccoli, president of the CSBA, said Garamendi earned the group’s endorsement because of his commitment to work for small business interests in California.
“Our research shows that you are enthusiastically committed to serving the small business community in this great State of California,” said Toccoli, in a letter to Garamendi. “Insurance is a major issue for small business owners and their employees and we welcome your leadership in establishing practices that benefit both.”
Garamendi has received support from both businesses and employee groups, as well as the endorsements from the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and La Opinion.
