Gaylan Sweet was the claims adjuster for my collision case in 1997, when I was struck from behind at a light by their client. He was mishandling the personal injury portion of my claim and continued to harrass me about signing a medical realease, which I refused to do. Three and a half months after the accident, with me still in a rental car and nobody doing anything to help me, the rental company calls me and threatens to have me arrested for grand theft auto. Yes, Gaylan Sweet cancelled my rental car, and refused to pay my medical bills because I wouldn’t sign his form. The rental company (think green) charged my credit card twelve times at $200 each which put me $2100 over my limit. The bank called and cancelled the account, and the hospital turned me into collections…all thanks to this low life pile of waste. Later that year, due to Gaylan Sweet and Ray Gauthier at Allsnake, I was forced to file for personal bankruptcy. I FINALLY received a check from them for $1900 ONE YEAR after the accident, and even that check was $200 short of what we agreed upon. If you are ever in an accident and Allsnake is the insurer – go straight to an attorney. Do no pass go, you will not collect $200. I hope Gaylan found a new lover in jail to keep him on his toes. Literally.

I’m not at all surprised by these comments. I was this loser’s roommate in the mid 90’s. This guy did pay his rent and utilities on time, however his often abusive relationship with Flora (or Flo for short) was disturbing. She was emotionally abusive to him and slept with his friends. According to one of his few friends, Flo once took off the engagement ring and threw it into a busy intersection and he was nearly hit by several cars when he went to retrieve it. Gaylan literally three Flo out of the house when he asked her to stop sleeping with his friends and she refused. Flo would often come over to our place drunk and hit on my friends and the other roommate’s friends.

All the while Gaylan would brag to us about the fact that he attend Whittier College while me and the three roommate graduated from San Diego State University. He thought he was God’s gift to womankind. He was tough to get along with. He was not smart, not intellectual at all. All of his arguments were easy to break.

I even had the pleasure of meeting the gentleman from the State Insurance Department who actually arrested Gaylan when I was renewing my insurance license. The arrest of this fool was great news to me and the third roommate. We actually had drinks to celebrate when we saw the newspaper article about his arrest!

I’m the one who started this thread. This dumbass sat in his office and even after a year he still tried to con me with bogus paperwork. He is nothing but a loser, and I would love to meet him face to face again and see if he wants to try to screw with me again. He has proven himself to be nothing but a punk who doesn’t care what he puts other people through. Gaylan, you’re a punk, and you deserve more jail time. You got off easy you pile of waste!

Gaylan tried the same scam that he did to you on one of my best friends back around 1995. My friend told him (I overheard him) threaten to get an attorney and then the claim was paid. My friend and I were co-workers and he mentioned to me his claims adjuster was Gaylan. I told him that he was a former roommate a few years earlier. What a coincidence that was.
