Michael Allen Lessley, 35, pled guilty to felony insurance fraud before Nevada Judge Connie Steinheimer in the Washoe County Courthouse.
Lessley reported his red 1995 Mustang stolen in order to allegedly receive money from State Farm Insurance Company. Lessley reportedly had a friend take his car and store it at a remote location so that he could defraud the insurance company.
Lessley faces up to four years in jail and a $5000.00 fine. He will be responsible for paying restitution of approximately $15,000.00
The investigation was conducted in cooperation between the Nevada Attorney General’s Office and the Sparks Police Department.
