Colorado-based International Catastrophe Insurance Managers, LLC (ICAT Managers), announced that Sam Ramsey has been promoted to senior vice president of Risk Underwriting.
In his new position, Ramsey will have responsibility for all individual risk underwriting activities. Ramsey also is a member of ICAT’s Management Committee.
Ramsey joined ICAT Managers in early 2002 and has been responsible for building ICAT’s Middle Market Business Unit for wind-exposed risks. He has led efforts to expand ICAT’s existing success in providing catastrophe coverage to small businesses throughout the coastal United States through the introduction of new products tailored for the middle market and the establishment of strategic partnerships between ICAT and major U.S. property insurance brokers. ICAT will consolidate its Middle Market Business Units for wind and earthquake under Ramsey.
Ramsey has 15 years of experience in insurance, primarily oriented toward the analysis of technical and catastrophe-exposed commercial property risks.
