Torrance, Calif.-based Keenan, the largest privately held brokerage firm in California, announced that it has named Julia Chivers as senior vice president of Labor Relations. Chivers will oversee Keenan’s in-house labor relations department.
Sean Smith, CEO of Keenan, said, “It is a privilege to welcome Julia as a member of the Keenan team. Julia’s depth of experience will be a great asset to Keenan as we continue to grow our business and serve our clients’ needs.”
On her appointment, Chivers’ said, “I am excited to be joining an innovative firm that shares my strong commitment to providing quality products and services to its clients. It is important to me that I have the opportunity to continue to partner with the labor community to help them find positive solutions to the issues that continue to arise in the ever-changing world of healthcare and employee benefits. This position allows me to maintain that focus.”
Chivers comes to Keenan from Central Valley Schools Health and Welfare Trust, where she served as CEO.
