San Francisco-based Liability Management Systems, LLC, a member of the FSC Group, announces the expansion of its risk and loss management practice with the addition of casualty claims consultation to serve the insurance industry and its legal counsel. Donald M. Huffer will lead the new practice area. Huffer, a Senior Consultant and expert witness specializing in casualty claims management and strategy, has developed a substantial body of experience and specialized expertise in insurance claims arising from asbestos, environmental and other mass torts, as well as the strategy and management of product recalls.
Huffer, a 30-year insurance veteran with 15 years of managing the Kemper Insurance Companies’ environmental claims, has established a national reputation for his work with complex casualty claims including the development of defense strategies and the negotiation of unique settlements. He also developed and implemented programs for the management of a number of high profile product recalls.
