Barbara Parker-Hatch, executive vice president of Yates & Associates announced recently that Dean McNicol has joined the Santa Ana office – transportation department as senior commercial transportation underwriter.
Parker-Hatch said, “Our transportation department has been growing in leaps and bounds and by adding a seasoned underwriter with qualifications like Dean to our staff, we will be able to expand even faster. He’s got a great deal of experience in this marketplace and is a welcome addition.”
Familiar with all aspects of underwriting, McNicol will work with the transportation department team on all new and renewal business, state regulatory filings and large fleet accounts. He was previously senior commercial auto underwriter at Robert Moreno Insurance Services in Fullerton for over 10 years. Prior to that, he worked mainly on commercial auto/GL/garage liability.
After almost 20 years in the transportation industry, McNicol said he was “looking for an E&S firm with in-house carriers and was attracted to the professional environment that Yates affords its employees.”
