Pinnacol Assurance, a Colorado provider of workers’ compensation insurance, announced that Bonnie Dean has joined its board of directors.
Dean was appointed to the position by Gov. Bill Owens and will reportedly provide the board with an added sense of civic responsibility and a small business owner’s perspective.
Dean heads Bonnie Dean Associates, a Greeley marketing communications firm she founded in 1972. She presently serves as chair of the Mountain States Better Business Bureau’s board of directors. She is also a member of numerous civic boards and committees in Weld and Denver counties.
Dean fills the seat that Board member John Kent vacated when his term expired. Other board members are J. Mark Eagleton, president and CEO of Eagleton Ventures LLC; Diedra Garcia, chair, owner, and vice president of DRG & Associates Inc.; David Green, human resource manager of Platte River Power Authority; Gary Johnson, president of Strategic Insurance Consultants Inc.; R. J. Jolly, partner and manager of Barbara Jolly & Sons Ranch LLC; Debra Lovejoy, vice president of Employers Resources of Colorado; David Stevens, president of Irongate Financial Services; and Paul Suss, president and general manager of Suss Pontiac GMC Inc.
Gov. Owens appoints Pinnacol’s board of directors because the company is a quasi-public entity, serving as the assured source of workers’ comp insurance to Colorado employers.
