The Oregon Insurance Underwriters Association (OIUA) and The Oregon Chapter of CPCU have announced the date for this year’s annual industry golf tournament and awards luncheon. The event will be held on Friday, Aug. 12 at Forest Hills Golf Course beginning with event registration at 7:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.
A record number of golfers are expected this year, according to tournament coordinator, said Scott Schoenborn, OIUA vice president. “Forest Hills is a great place for our event; the 18-hole championship layout is filled with bunkered greens, tree-lined fairways and water accents,” Schoenborn said. Located in Cornelius, Forest Hills Golf Course is only a short 25-minute drive from downtown Portland.
This year’s event registration is available online at http://golfday.mollyguard.com, which makes it easier than ever for golfers and guests to register and pay via secured server. “The online registration site has been great; it is easy to navigate, available anytime 24/7, and allows additional payment options to golfers and guests,” Schoenborn said.
Participants who prefer a more traditional form of registration can contact Schoenborn at (503) 565-2813 or e-mail him at scotts@ormutual.com for printed registration information.
A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will benefit The Oregon Humane Society’s ‘Jill Ball Memorial Fund.”
