Jim Howey recently joined Denver-based G.E. Young & Company as chief operating officer. Howey, who holds more than 16 years of insurance and risk management experience, was brought on board to drive process and strategy implementation for the company, according to CEO James Young. He leads the company’s workers’ compensation, liability, property, human resources and IT departments.
“G.E. Young & Company’s approach to customer service and client account management is an uncanny match for my background,” said Howey. “I’m really excited about the growth path of the company.”
During the past 16 years, Howey has served InsGroup in Denver, ITT Hartford in Los Angeles and Chicago, the Maryland Insurance Group in Baltimore, and Lloyd’s Brokerage CE Health in London. Most recently, he co-owned and operated a human resources administration company in Denver, handling risk management, human resources, employee benefits and payroll functions for its clients. He recently sold the company.
“Jim Howey is a tremendous addition to our senior management team,” said Young. “His experience in insurance, operations and human resources, will be a vital asset in G.E. Young & Company’s growth strategy to become a national leader in innovative claims and risk management solutions.”
G.E. Young & Company is a full-service TPA headquartered in the Denver area, with offices in Montana, Minnesota and Oregon. In 2005, the privately held company celebrates its 15th year in business. To discover more, visit www.geyoung.com
