Physicians Insurance A Mutual Company has announced that Robert Nickles has been named vice president of Risk Management. Thomas Kirchmeier, a company employee since 1985, will be retiring from the position in November. Nickles most recently worked as an account executive for Willis of Oregon, in the Eugene, Ore., office. From 1998 to 2003, he worked for Physicians Insurance as the vice president of the Oregon Regional Office. He handled all facets of the company’s business in Oregon, including risk management, claims, underwriting and marketing. Prior to 1998, he worked for Washington Casualty Company and was Director of Risk Management for a large hospital in Pennsylvania.
Nickles earned his B.A. from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. He also holds a M.S. in Health Care Administration from the College of St Francis in Joliet, Illnois.
Physicians Insurance A Mutual Company provides medical professional liability insurance coverage in Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Oregon. The company was founded in 1981.
