Arizona’s Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has appointed Kirk Adams, already a candidate for a state House seat, to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Rep. Chuck Gray, a fellow Mesa Republican.
Adams, an insurancy agency owner, was one of three candidates nominated by Republican precinct committee members in Legislative District 19 to replace Gray, who himself was appointed a senator on to replace the late Sen. Marilyn Jarrett.
Jarrett died March 17, one day after being stricken in her legislative office.
