Teresa (Terry) Finkes, a 25-year veteran of the U.S. reinsurance marketplace, has joined the San Francisco office of Collins, where she will be responsible for the reinsurance placement and risk management needs of a variety of West Coast insurance companies and managing general agents.
Collins, established in 1987, is a privately-held company serving clients in the property-casualty, life, and accident & health insurance markets. Headquartered in Minneapolis, it has offices across the United States as well as in London and in Bermuda. In addition to its San Francisco office, Collins’ West Coast presence includes an office in Orange County, Calif.
Finkes’ background includes 15 years as a reinsurance intermediary, and 10 years with Fremont Indemnity Co. At Fremont Re, her responsibilities included the analysis of reinsurance treaty contracts and financial analyses of reinsurance companies.Most recently, she was with reinsurance broker Cooper Gay, and, prior to that, she worked for Benfield, another reinsurance intermediary.
