Beaverton, Ore.-based Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency introduced an education insurance program providing coverage for smaller colleges and universities, as well as private K-12 schools. IES is also able to consider charter schools located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Oregon and Texas, and coverage is available for pre-K through 12 programs.
Educational institutions are subject to a wide variety of exposures, making it difficult to find one program that will take care of them all. The program being introduced by Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency can be customized to each institution’s needs. It can be designed to include property, primary casualty, umbrella, educator’s errors and omissions, crime, abuse and molestation, limited pollution and automobile coverages. Coverage may include an incidental professional liability endorsement, which can cover counselors and other mental health professionals, as well as students working off campus internships in their major field of study.
Limits vary with the coverage type purchased within the package. Deductible varies. Coverage is available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Oregon and Texas and is written with an “A++” carrier.
