The Board of Directors of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. has elected Joseph J. Beneducci as CEO of the property and casualty insurance company, effective Jan. 1, 2007.
Beneducci previously served as president and chief operating officer. He succeeds Charles (Chuck) Kavitsky, who has been promoted to a new position as president of Allianz of America, with responsibility for Fireman’s Fund and Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America. Kavitsky, whose appointment is also effective Jan. 1, 2007, reports to Allianz of America chief executive Jan R. Carendi.
Prior to assuming the role of president and chief operating officer in February 2006, Beneducci held a number of key executive positions including executive vice president and chief administrative officer, and senior vice president in the company’s commercial business unit. He joined Fireman’s Fund in 1998 after a 10-year career at Chubb.
