Western Heritage Insurance Co. has named Michael Horsman president. He has been acting president of the company since July 2006 and brings 30 years of insurance industry experience to the position.
Prior to that, Horsman served as senior vice president of Claims for Scottsdale Insurance Co., which he joined in Feb. 1996. From 1977 to 1996, he worked for St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co. in St. Paul, Minn., in various capacities within their claim organization. He was a Claim vice president from 1991 to 1996.
Western Heritage Insurance Co. is based in Scottsdale, Ariz., and provides excess and surplus insurance products and services through a network of independent general agents and is a subsidiary of Nationwide.
