Bickmore Risk Services, a Sacramento, Calif.-based independent risk management consulting firm, has appointed Michael S. Harrington to director, Property and Casualty Actuarial Services.
Harrington will coordinate the analytical studies of BRS’ P&C actuaries, as well as develop, execute, track, and realign the P/C actuarial department business plan as needed. Mike will continue his managerial duties as the lead on all actuarial projects for municipal and county clients.
Harrington has been a manager, Actuarial Services at BRS since 2003. He specializes in actuarial and risk management consulting services to public entity pools and self-insured organizations and is highly regarded for his expertise in the actuarial field, and experience in ratemaking, reserving, financial modeling, and catastrophe management. Prior to joining BRS, he was an actuary for a nation-wide insurance company.
