Patrick Andersen has been promoted to assistant communications manager for the California State Compensation Insurance Fund’s corporate Communications Department.
Prior to his State Fund career, Andersen served as managing editor for a San Francisco-based community newspaper. He began his State Fund career in 1991 when he was hired as a personnel services consultant for human resources. In 2000 he joined the Communications Department, where he served as eitor of the nationally, industry-wide newsletter, the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds (AASCIF). In 2007, he was picked to supervise the HR department’s Systems Unit. He is the recipient of State Fund’s highest work achievement, the President’s Award for Corporate Excellence.
