San Francisco-based Wells Fargo Insurance Services has promoted Paul Baldwin to the position of chief operating officer of its American E&S (AES) operations.
In his new role, Baldwin will take an active role in strategic business development within American E&S, focusing on growing and cross-selling opportunities within Wells Fargo Insurance Services, planning and directing sales programs to develop new customers, and working with the executive management committee in setting short and long term strategic goals and objectives.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Baldwin was employed as a vice president for Aon Risk Services of Arizona from 1999 to 2003, where he was a top performing new business consultant each year. Prior to that, he was regional manager of automotive specialty in a 10-state western territory for Federated Insurance, and worked for Universal Underwriters Group, a Zurich Co., as both a producer and regional manager in Michigan.
American E&S, headquartered in San Francisco, links insurance brokers and specialty markets.
