In response to the wildfire disaster in California, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation has established the Industry Foundation Firestorm Response on behalf of the industry and its partners. All online contributions received through Nov. 30, 2007, will be designated for this campaign.
The Foundation is kicking off the campaign with a $25,000 contribution. All proceeds will be presented to the American Red Cross to be used solely for the California Firestorm Relief Effort.
The Foundation said industry groups can help by:
*Making a contribution and showing support;
*If your company has a matching contribution program, asking them to match the donation and help reach the goal of $500,000;
*Encouraging others in your company/office to participate ;
*Forwarding the information to other industry contacts and partners; and
*Considering having your company direct their response through the Industry Foundation.
