Los Angeles-based Lemac & Associates announced that Richard Wilson has joined as assistant vice president specializing in construction, wrap-ups, products liability, premises liability and excess liability.
A native of London, England, Wilson began his insurance career as a broker at Lloyds of London. He ventured out on his own in 1994 and co-founded White & Wilson Insurance Brokers Ltd., a Lloyd’s specialist firm handling a variety of entertainment and media related coverage. In 1998, Wilson migrated to the underwriting side working for insurance companies where he continued to specialize in entertainment risks including credit enhancement, securitization and off-balance sheet protection for film financing. In late 2002, he came to California and worked for two Los Angeles wholesalers where he learned all lines of casualty business and developed an expertise in difficult placements particularly for the construction industry.
