Luis Borovinsky has been named regional assistant real estate manager for California State Compensation Insurance Fund’s Southern California operations.
Borovinsky joined the organization’s Santa Ana District Office in 1991 when he was hired as a claims adjuster. His most recent post was in 2001 when he served as broker services/sales manager. In 2003, he garnered State Fund’s highest work honors, the President’s Award for Corporate Excellence.
Additionally, SCIF has promoted Jennifer Vargen to program manager of the company’s Communications Center.
Vargen joined SCIF in August 1988. Within a few months as office assistant in Human Resources, she was hired as a marketing consultant in November 1988. She eventually moved to sales, and while in sales, her outstanding achievements included working with communications on special projects. In 2002 Vargen returned to Human Resources with an advancement to employee services manager. Her most recent position was marketing operations manager, a role she assumed in 2005.
