California-based Cambridge General Agency is offering coverage for accidental downtime for commercial auto risks. This coverage is only available for vehicles with comprehensive and collision coverage. The accidental downtime coverage pays insureds for the time their vehicle is disabled because of an accident.
Coverage does not apply for vehicles that are disabled for mechanical or other problems. Coverage benefits for a vehicle under 20,000 GVW is $40 a day for up to 20 days; for vehicles exceeding 20,001 GVW, benefits are $50 a day for up to 20 days. There is a 14-day waiting period before benefits begin.
Coverage is offered through an admitted carrier rated A- VIII.
