Mark Toohey has been promoted to senior vice president of media relations for Los Angeles-based, Farmers Insurance Co. In his new role, Toohey will be responsible for leading and managing all media relations, external communications and related activities.
Before his promotion, Toohey served as vice president of state legislative affairs with responsibility for state government affairs and political grassroots activities. Toohey is a former, award-winning journalist; and also served earlier in his career as director of communications and press secretary for Texas U. S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison when she was Texas State Treasurer.
