Dusty Rowland and Eric Arthur, two industry veterans of the specialty insurance marketplace, have launched a new program administrator and specialty wholesale brokerage specializing in umbrella and excess solutions for retail brokers across the United States, called Mainstay Insurance Group Inc.
The company, based in Bellevue, Wash., will also focus on the commercial real estate industry and the growing risk management needs of the green movement.
“We have consistently and widely heard from our distribution network that they are looking for more strategic and effective solutions in the umbrella and excess arena to differentiate their package products.” said Rowland, president and CEO. “This is a key motivation for our new business and an area in which we have deep experience.”
Through strategic relationships with carriers and a network of regional, national and global retail distribution, Mainstay will market its products through three divisions, Strategic Umbrella, Mainstay Programs and Specialty Brokerage.
Mainstay has selected XDimensional Technologies’ Nexsure internet agency management system as the platform for operations and growth, according to Arthur.
Prior to launching Mainstay, Rowland co-founded National Specialty Underwriters.
“Bellevue is an exciting place to live and work and we look forward to tapping the highly skilled workforce in this area to help grow our business,” Rowland added.
