Newark, Calif.-based Risk Management Solutions (RMS) appointed Steve Walden general manager of the company’s data solutions division. Based in Boulder, Colo., Walden will be responsible for developing new client relationships and creating solutions to their exposure data quality problems.
“Exposure data quality is one of hottest topics in the insurance industry, not only because of its implications on financial strength ratings and securing the right level of capital for regulatory purposes, but also its impact on reinsurance terms and conditions,” said Ajay Lavakare, senior vice president and managing director of data solutions at RMS.
Walden has more than 15 years of experience in the software industry, most recently serving as vice president and general manager for Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software’s Centrus Division. Before that, he was vice president at Sagent Technology, where he held roles in insurance applications and solutions.
