Denver-based IMA Financial Group Inc., a diversified financial services company specializing in insurance, asset and risk management with 450 employees and offices in six markets nationwide, announced today that Leanna Clark has joined the company as senior vice president of corporate communications and executive director of the IMA Foundation.
Rob Cohen, Chairman and CEO, said, “A number of years ago, IMA established the IMA Foundation to foster community giving and stewardship, although this organization has served IMA well it has always been our dream to be able to expand the foundation and do even more for the communities in which IMA is involved. Hiring Leanna as our executive director of the Foundation is a key step in finally realizing this dream.”
Clark previously served as a principal and co-owner of Schenkein, where she played an instrumental role in helping the agency become recognized as one of the top 10, mid-size marketing public relations firms in America. She has 20 years of marketing, public relations and media experience, with special expertise in community relations, media relations, media training and issues management/crisis communications. While at Schenkein, she managed teams for many of the agency’s major local, national and international accounts, including First Data, Western Union, the City of Denver, the Denver Preschool Program, CIGNA HealthCare, Forest City Stapleton and the Colorado Nonprofit Association. She was also instrumental in developing the agency’s coaching and mentoring system, a hallmark of Schenkein’s culture.
