San Diego-based Arrowhead Wholesale Insurance Services LLC has a new surplus lines binding authority appointment, with a carrier rated “A-” VII, Excellent, by A.M. Best.

This appointment gives AWIS greater ability to place unique and tougher to place accounts in a wide array of classes of business from bars/taverns/restaurants to mercantile and manufacturing risks.

Commercial packages and monoline general liability are available pending the class of business. Properties can be written with values up to $1 million. General liability limits are available up to $2 million per occurrence and general aggregate, with the ability to write even higher CGL limits through excess lability policies.

With its partnership with this new carrier, AWIS now has even greater ability to write small- to mid-size accounts in the standard and surplus lines marketplace, based on each risks characteristics and coverage needs.
