Griffin Underwriting Services of Bellevue, Wash., has added John Houston as a property/causalty underwriter in the company’s Portland, Ore., office. In this position, Houston will be responsible for underwriting and marketing contract commercial property and casualty business in Oregon.
Houston has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience and has served in underwriting and management positions for both preferred and non-standard companies, as well as managing general agencies. His past achievements include the Underwriter of the Year award from the Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon and Associate of the Year award from the Tualatin Valley Chapter of NAIW.
