Socius Insurance Services, Inc., a San Francisco-based management liability and property & casualty insurance wholesaler, today announced the appointment of Devin Wright as assistant vice president in its San Francisco office.
The company also hired Matt Baird as assistant vice president in its Elgin, Ill., branch office.
Wright’s responsibilites will include new business development focusing on commercial property coverage in the western United States. His specialty is coverage for habitational, industrial and commercial properties.
Wright started his career with ACE in San Francisco, then moved to Bliss and Glennon where we was an account executive focusing on property. He graduated from UC Berkeley.
Baird is also charged with new business development responsibilities, in Chicago and the greater Midwest for property and casualty business. His specialties include tough products, property, commercial & residential contractors, middle market construction package, stand-alone comp, stand-alone umbrellas, and more.
Baird started his career with Allstate in South Barrington, Illinois, then he moved on to Liberty Mutual in Schaumburg, Illinois and finally moved to American International Group in Chicago, where he was a senior underwriter, then a business development manager. Baird graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
